Yo! So I ran an idea by Holz and he likes the idea so I thought I'd give it a crack and see how it went and how much people liked it or were involved.
How it works:
- Each bye round you name a team using your EXVs list from the 12 AFL teams playing that round
- The comp will obviously be using the DT scoring system
- Your score accumulates over each round, with the team at the top of the tally/leaderboard being the winner
- There are no captains, HGA etc for these three rounds
- Team are to be named in 1-2-1-2 format. Example below:
Def
Mid, Mid
Fwd
Int, Int
Emg, Emg, Emg
- Interchange and emergencies can be of any position, but is advised you have emergency cover for each line if possible.
What you have to do
- I've created a spreadsheet, much like the one we use for the normal comp which will calculate the scores, so all you have to do is go to the corresponding round and name your team. You can input your own scores if you want but this is optional, I'll do it if you don't.
- Player names should be typed in the grey box and scores put in the boxes below with the 0 in them and scores will automatically start adding up as you do.
- If you want to name your this week for all three rounds, feel free. You already know which teams are playing which rounds but it is encouraged that you check teams each week and input your team for each of the weeks as each round happens.
- There's no need to post your team in this thread unless you want to, but this thread is the megathread, so it will host questions, banter and all the discussion about this if there is any.
Other stuff
Participation is completely optional, I get that people have lives and probably don't even care about the main comp enough to bother taking part in some little mini comp over the byes, but Holz and I would love it if you did show interest and take part!
Not really much else to say, I think I've covered everything else above. The spreadsheet should be pretty self explanatory I think.
Again, if there's any questions, let me know.
There will be a PM sent out about this too.
Most importantly though... the link is here! (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1MNA9yo-aiA80-Z3GrLjxNa7DWWKvRA57hCJn_HDCM3c/edit#gid=0)

On that note, I'm alright with this, gives a little time for my players to heal as Swallow is joining his brother on the injury list.

I honestly think the format (for future reference), could be expanded slightly... you could probs get away with 2 on every line (and 3 mids)

Think Holz is going to set that up, North vs South btw.
Maybe for next week and the last bye week.

548! Good outing from my starters but bench let me down with Tyson scoring 53.
All scores for R13 are done, you can go to the Round Scores and Tally sheet to see how you did.
Hopefully made it easy for everyone to read the scores by having two tables. The first one has each team in their own row and their scores for each round added together in the final column. The second table is the weekly 'leaderboard'. This is one is sorted though, so at the moment Greece are leading, Sweden are last of the teams who actually played last week and Belgium and Macedonia are sitting at the bottom on zero because they didn't participate.

Of course we were! :P I fielded a very inexperienced side though. 2 in their first season. 2 players between 50-100 games and two 100+ gamers. The rebuild is real.
Before I forget...
If you're playing Crows or Roos, remember to put them in before tonight's game. Players from the other 10 teams will be locked at the bounce on Friday as per usual.
The same applies for next week as well. :)

You can firld a team with the 8 teams left to play
I did say teams would be locked at the bounce last night but with the round starting on Thursday and not actually sending a PM reminder, I'm happy to let people who haven't yet named a team choose from the 8 teams left to play.
Whoops.
Can I just take last weeks teams?

I mean, you named Laird and Ziebell for Thursday night, so I'll just kinda piece together your team from those two, last week's and your emgs. Shouldn't be too much of a problem.

You ended up just being without a forward since Honeychurch and Watts both had the bye, still scored fairly well too!
