Title: Dumont
Post by: bwsh on May 31, 2015, 07:48:06 PM
Full game today and produced a solid 80 in difficult conditions

Will he see more of the green vest or is he a viable option?

Round 13 bye rookie. Lock.

10 tackles will at least give him a few weeks shelf life.

Was always confident of Dumont doing well if he could get a full game on the ground.  Almost brought him in this week, but went Amon with the view to trade Dumont this week if he did well.

Dumont in this week.  Will trade Oxley out and bank the cash or upgrade elsewhere.

his bye is mega juicy, but not really worth it unless he isn't sub rnd 12. anyone got a crystal ball?

Sam Gray was also promoted recently. Would've thought Gray will drop back to the rookie list before Krak.

always liked him and i think he would have got an earlier go if not for our strong team and his off field issues. With the loss on the weekend im sure Scott will be mad and Dummont seemed to play quite well so im hoping he stays.

Totally agree, Holz. I reckon Dumont is safe as houses and our best bet for a downgrade target in the mids this week.

You trade your rookies though to even other rookies or premiums during the byes. Round 13 should be the easiest round by far.

If Swallow comes back in does this affect Dumont? anyone heard/read anything indicating him getting more runs without the sub vest? Coach comments, radio comments from teammates...anything, at 153k he would want to be a bloody good chance to play in the next 3 games minimum for bye cover.

Yep Gibson has been turning the ball over for too long.  After a disgusting 3rd quarter effort, we finally got back in front with 4 goals, only for Gibson to kick the ball blindly out on the full.  With Gibson getting the ball it was only a matter of time before we gave it back to the opposition and lost the game.

Dumont was one of the very few positives for North on Sunday.

I didn't see much of last week's game but listening on the radio they were saying he was tagging Pendles which if that was the case he did an excellent job.

Think he would get that role again after doing such a good job meaning unlikely to start sub.

I think he is one of those players that if he performs he plays. Don't think there are any injuries in his position but players like Dal San To and Wells are a couple of weeks away so really I think he is safe until the bye at least if he performs!

I really wouldn't b getting rid of dumont unless u have to boys.
He has been phenomenal when he has come back on last two games.
Goldy and dumont turned the tide when gws starting closing the lead.
Think he will get a full game again round 14 and b really solid cover.

He was awesome when he came on, and you're right, he and Goldy settled the ship basically by themselves.
My concern is now though, that he has played so well when coming of the Vest that they may think they have a great set-up with him wearing the Green.
FWIW, I'm keeping him.
