Title: National Draft Thread
Post by: Jukes on August 03, 2016, 01:30:28 AM
So I might as well get this up now. I don't think any priority picks should be allocated (Las Vegas were pretty impressive at times and finished 4-12), if you think they should speak up. Only players that are selected in the AFL National Draft can be taken here, with all other unowned players and players taken in the Rookie and Pre-Season Drafts up for selection in the Rookie Draft.

56 players per team (up 4 from 2016), nominate to pass in the NAT Draft when you want the rest of your list filled in the Rookie Draft.

The Draft will begin November 29th.

Don't think I need a priority, but will take one if offered!! :)

Vegas should have 54 pick not 51 from trade 23

Same goes as last year - 52 players per team, nominate to pass in the NAT Draft when you want the rest of your list filled in the Rookie Draft.

Wasn't this changed?

I think picks 51 and 54 between Vegas and Houston should be swapped, per trade 23 :)

I believe Quito should have 51 now from the Barlow trade.

Also, I think I should have pick 44 per trade 16.

Alright guys, so today's the big day. AFL PSD/RD starts at 1/3:30/4 (west south east). First picks of the NAT Draft can take place immediately after I give the all clear this afternoon (won't be long after the AFL drafts are complete), and further delistings and list changes can be made up until midnight tonight (some leniency may be given by me) - when adjusting delistings, make sure you notify me in the delistings thread and make the appropriate changes to your list in the list lodgement thread.

So until tonight make sure your list is all good, have a clear direction for the drafts, and anticipate the time when the Sinners take a player who's surname starts with Mc (probably)!

And if I've made any further mistakes anywhere (I'm sure I have), let me know.

I have five rounds listed for the NAT Draft and eight for the Rookie Draft, if you want to make more picks beyond those it's all good that's just all I have up because they were tradable (order goes obviously in the usual reverse ladder positions)

So the following relevant players were taken in the rookie draft today:

2. Brisbane - Jake Barrett (Listed by Quito)
4. Gold Coast - Keegan Brooksby (Listed by Anaheim)
15. GWS - Tendai Mzungu (Delisted by New Brooklyn)
19. Essendon - Shaun McKernan (Delisted by Carolina)
22. Gold Coast - Cameron Loersch (Listed by Anaheim)
23. Carlton - Alex Silvagni (Delisted by Ottawa)
32. GWS - Joel Patfull (Delisted by Chicago)
39. Carlton - Andrew Gallucci (Delisted by San Francisco)
49. Sydney - Shaun Edwards (Delisted by Carolina)

I think that's it - these guys can be un-delisted by their teams if they desire.

Draft start announcement soon (just double checking everything)

Have fixed, silly little error that would've been fixed eventually :P

Also, a few of things:
1. when you're done for the draft just say you pass your next picks and all good. Passing your NAT picks doesn't take you out of the rookie draft!
2. you can change your list lodgement at any time to make changes to what picks you'll be taking in the nat and rookie drafts, just don't edit any future trades that may occur.
3. as standard try to message the next guy up, we won't be skipping unless somebody is really late/rude with their picking after which the standard highest-player-drafted goes to them.

this draft is way to flowering slow

It started two days ago and we have only gone through almost half of the picks   :'(

fixed

Then I expect Picks 32-36 to come in 30 seconds apart from each other  ;D

Breaking my KPF rule here but this guy is hanging around too long. Apparently the best key-forward in the draft at a club that will give him lots of opportunity, don't expecct much for a while, but I have the forward depth to allow him to properly develop.

Because the player pool might be iffy to read easily, here's the players left - up to 9 selections remaining before we start the rookie draft, which I will give the go-ahead when required (I'll have to updated the player pool with NAT leftovers first). Decisions, decisions...

30. Collingwood - Sam McLarty
38. Fremantle - Sean Darcy
45. Sydney - Jack Maibaum
46. Melbourne - Mitchell Hannan
49. Western Bulldogs - Lewis Young
50. Collingwood - Kayle Kirby
51. Adelaide - Elliot Himmelberg
64. Melbourne - Dion Johnstone
65. Carlton - Patrick Kerr
68. Geelong - Timm House
69. Geelong - Ryan Abbott
70. Western Bulldogs - Fergus Greene
72. Richmond - Ryan Garthwaite
73. North Melbourne - Nick Larkey
74. Hawthorn - Harry Morrison
75. Adelaide - Ben Davis
76. Hawthorn - Mitchell Lewis
