An interesting part of this article about Williamstown's selection policy this season.....

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/afl/teams/western-bulldogs-left-out-in-cold-by-vfl-affiliate-williamstown/story-e6frf9nx-1226611970231

.....is about 3/4 of the way into the article mentioning the Bulldogs will be fielding a standalone team in the VFL next year.......and are considering whether to call it Footscray.

l don't know about you, but l think this would be fantastic for the Bulldogs fans and football in general

This is a terrible situation for the dogs and I hope it can be resolved. Especially since you have had such a great start to the season sitting pretty in 2nd spot.

The fringe players all need game time but it would be good if they could come out next year and have a team called Footscray. Maybe notradamus you could be true to your name and tell us if this will in fact happen.

Good on the VFL team shoving it up them, they need to think about the future :(

Great to see Footscray back! They should call the seniors that also.

Yes please.

Footscray>Western.

Absolute nightmare when listing teams by location...St Kilda, Sydney, West Coast...Western??
