a little bit annoying, since the midfield is the only thing the dogs are alright in. Unless he's going to play off halfback again?

like, look at their mids
Boyd, Cooney, Cross, Griffen, Wallis, Liberatre, Clay Smith, Stevens and now Lower on top of that

not even including Hrovat, Stringer, Hunter and Macrae

Surely they had other areas with more urgent addressing :S

surely Cooney is no longer in the mids and will move forward

He's not a bad player, but the Dogs' have a decent midfield and they don't really need more. They could probably use him in the backline like he was at Port.

Then you have picked up the wrong person - he was terrible as a half back.  His best work is an inside mid where he will pick up 20+ touches and 5+tackles a game.

Oh, well I never really followed his career all that closely, all I know is that Port used him as a defender. I guess if he's gonna get stats like that then by all means throw him into the midfield.

Thats why Port delisted him because he was crap as a small defender.  We nabbed him and put him in the midfield where he has played his best footy.  He is depth for us at the moment and he obviously wanted more opportunities which it looks like the dogs can offer.

Ah okay, I understand now. He did play some very good games for Freo. Hopefully he continues to do the same for the Dogs.  :)

Might be a sneaky bench option for the SC Draft game.  :P

I know, you're in the Supercoach Draft Game but a different league to me. There probably won't be any need to pick him. I was actually looking to get him in The Bench, but he wasn't even in the system.  :o

Actually tabs I may look at him as one of 4 benchies we have to pick.

That was my original thinking. But really, since everyone is only picking 4 mids on the field, there still should be plenty of decent options and no need to pick someone like Lower. I've got some options in mind though.  ;)

Racking it up again. I think he is going to be my smokey for my SC draft.

subbed off in q3 :S

did he just stop getting any, or did the dogs decide he'd shown enough and just wanted to give one of the youngsters a shot?

So Bulldogs fans, what's the chances of this bloke being a regular in 2013?

Is certainly in our best 22

one hesitation for me is he may be a run with/tagger as seen against Richmond on Saturday when he kept Cotchin to about 6 possessions. I have also noticed Picken has been freed up in the NAB games  - this may well change when season proper starts

too many question marks for me

I am going to bump this thread because it is a Nick Lower related question. Dogs play the Pies this weekend, they have two very good defensive specialists in Picken and Lower, who do they go to? Lower to Pendles or Swan? Does Picken play in the back half or does he tag someone like Sidebottom?
