YAY CRICKET!
Always good to have the domestic game back on! Even if no one really watches the Matador...
I like the idea of the CA XI, but I think they should mix experience with youth. Players like Rohrer, Hartley and Sayers haven't been selected by their states. Throw them into this mix and suddenly the team is half competitive, and they could learn from having those senior players around them. The best way to develop talent for the national side is to have all teams competitive, and it would be a better contest to watch.
Yeah only has to be 2/3 experienced players to be the mentors. One bat one seam bowler one spinner perhaps? Brad Hodge is coaching the team so they have a good coach.
100% agree that Chris Hartley should be there though, such an experienced and wise man.
Looks like we will see a better CXI this summer, hopefully they bat first most matches and put on 200-250 at least it's a target that way.(already looking like more today the way Gibson and Bosisto are batting)

A tie in WA vs SA today wtf
And today QLD beat TAS by one run via the D/L method! Bloody rain.
Rain pls.
this outfield is flowerin lightning quick
Absolutely torn.
Loving the Vics at the moment, but want Captain Valente to go well for D6s.
That said, my D6s team is in quite a ditch :P Andrews is going horribly anyway, Go Vics!
Yaeh I'll never support the Vics even though I own Cam White. :P

yeah but Cam has done more than enough already,
open up Whitey
100 for Whitey. 101 balls. did it pretty easily
Cam White tryna make my D6s team respectable
Cam okay that'll do. Get your runs scored higher than the balls faced then get out.
some bat on ball would be nice Stoinis
protect the kid you flowerin person dad! full doged out and let his kid almost cop it
still hit him but that coulda been bad
Beer with a hattrick and Vics all over the Redbacks 8)
Six to win it???!!
Not quite. NSW avoid embarrassment by 4 runs
that was brilliant Maxy!
I reckon we should get a change to how that reads in a score
as in caught: Maxwell/Quiney
Geez nobody's ever gotten out on 87 before
lol, we got slaughtered.
Go away Marnus!
The causal cricket follower probably would never have heard of most of the Redbacks XI today?! :o
SA: Alex Carey (wk), Jake Weatherald, Callum Ferguson (c), Tom Cooper, Jake Lehmann, Tim Ludeman, Cameron Valente, Alex Gregory, Michael Cormack, Tom Andrews, Wes Agar
Ferguson, Cooper, Lehmann, Ludeman the only recognizable names there to some. Actually even the keen cricket followers probably haven't heard of Gergory, Cormack, Agar (other than knowing his brother played for Australia).
Meanwhile the opposition:
NSW: Ed Cowan, Daniel Hughes, Nic Maddinson, Moises Henriques (c), Kurtis Patterson, Peter Nevill (wk), Trent Copeland, Chris Green, Gurinder Sandhu, Nathan Lyon, Doug Bollinger
Daniel Hughes probably the least known of that lot, Chris Green being a BBL hero would be better known.

Haha went to school with both Valente & Cormack and have bowled to Weatherald & faced Andrews in club cricket, but that's still a ridiculously inexperienced XI :o No wonder we're getting thumped haha.
Valente, Green, Ludeman, Gregory, Andrews, Maddo, :-*
All to waste. :(
But we still rolled NSW for 208 >:D
Winnerrrrrrrzzz!!
Whitey again!
South Austrakia went ballistic on the CA xi posting 420 off their 50.
CA xi still in this though, 5/240 off 31. One more wicket though and they'll really struggle.
Pretty good game between Tas and WA atm.
Aaaaand Carder gone for 93 off 83.
104 off 53 with two wickets in hand. Redbacks should be right from here.
Over the the WA game now!
WA gone about the chase pretty well so far, should get home from here.
Ash Turner gets himself out after a good knock as I post this.
Woooo record breaking SA :D
watching the Vics and listening to trade radio 8)
Vic 0/97 after 19
Finchy and Bear are killing 'em early.
damn Finchy gone for 79 :(
1/121 after 22
Quite like Maxi at first drop.
I literally walk away from the TV to get on the computer and a wicket falls, god damn it.
NIGEY WHAT'S THE RULE
now White is gone too
couple of quick ones
the TVs on mute so I can't hear what they're saying... why do they keep replaying Maxy's LBW? are they saying it was going over?
looks pretty out to me
Vics get Boland, Wade, Finch and Hastings back but will still lose. Good work QLD.
Lel flower the vics

Should have easily gone 300+ imo, Wade and Stoinis could have gone harder when DC and Duke were still to bat.
Wasted opportunity.
I believe a bonus point win for the Redbacks tomorrow assure us of a top 3 spot :o
Head, Worrall, Zampa, Mennie are all available to play as well :D
Weatherald, Carey, Cooper, Head, Ferguson, Lehmann, Valente, Mennie, Zampa, Worrall, Agar
Come get us TAS! Could even roll without Agar and play Ludeman for extra batting and have Cooper/Head split the last 10 overs (very possible that we down this route)
Redbacks botched a chance to get into the top 3! What I said about needing a bonus point to win was wrong, SA only needed to win and we'd have won on the first tiebreaker against the Vics (Wins-Ties). So even though we had inferior NRR to the Vics it was irrelevant as we had 3 wins and a tie to their 3 wins.
Apparently we only figured this out very close to the end of the match.
We can say as much as we like that NSW players keep getting picked for Australia, but if they win tournaments the way they do, as the last Matador Cup final showed and this one is showing so far, why wouldn't you pick them?
The goat went alright ay

Yeah would say those figures look decent :o
nevermind the 4fa, how do you only go for 10 runs off 10 overs! BAAAAA
do goats baa as well
Neser what a ball! Cmon Bulls 1 down 9 to go!
NESER! NESER! NESER!
19/3 Maddinson back to the sheds. Game on!!
Alyssa and Ian Healy commentating at the same time :o
