Key Suns out with injury  :'(

Key Mexico City players, Steele Sidebottom and Tom Rockliff will be forced to sit on the sidelines after sustaining injuries in this week's win against Seoul. Sidebottom suffered a broken thumb which will keep him out for 6-8 weeks. While Tom Rockliff is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with broken ribs and a punctured lung. To make matters worse, other stars Brett Deledio has picked up a one week suspension and Jimmy Bartel may miss with concision.

The Suns' depth will be tested, but luckily they have the best depth in the comp. Allen Christensen, Daniel Wells, Shaun Grigg, Cameron Ellis-Yolmen and co. will be asked to step up and fill the void.

Key Suns set to return

Four key Suns are set to line up this week, after stints on the sideline. A determined Jordan Lewis is back after serving his two-game suspension, while as long as they pass fitness tests, Steele Sidebottom, Kade Simpson and Cameron Ellis-Yolmen are all set to return, which is a huge boost for Mexcio City, coming up against in-form Toronto.

Trade Review

1. Mexico City give: Mark Blicavs + Jarrad Waite + Jed Adcock + Pick 73
Mexico City receive: Allen Christensen + Pick 26

Losing Blicavs really hurt, but not a massive deal since I probably would've traded him even if I didn't do this. Christo has been a little disappointing, but he's starting to come good. Very happy that he's a MID/FWD and he should keep that for a while.  :-\

2. Mexico City give: Michael Firrito
    Mexico City receive: Pick 44

Firrito was not needed, so got something for him while I can.  :)

3. Mexico give: Daniel Currie + Pick 91
Mexico City receive: Ciaran Sheehan + Kieran Harper

Shouldn't have given Currie up so easily to my biggest rival. Sheehan gets me something decent later on, but Harper is useless.  :-\

4. Mexico City give: Shane Biggs + Tom Cutler + Sean Lemmens
Mexico City receive: Scott D. Thompson + Pick 36

Thompson has been disappointing so far, but he still good depth. This one is still looking okay, Biggs, Cutler and Lemmens look promising but haven't shown much fantasy wise.  :)

5. Mexico City give: Chris Yarran, Bernie Vince + Picks 36, 37
Mexico City receive: Brett Deledio + Pick 61

Overpaid to get a gun here, and Lids has been fantastic when he's been on the field. Vince's recent form makes it look like a loss though, especially since I'm giving up the two picks as well.  ???

6. Mexico City give: Pick 61
    Mexico City receive: Ryan O'Keefe

ROK retired shortly after this, oh well.  ::)

7. Mexico City give: Pick 55
    Mexico City receive: Dean Terlich

Terlich is a spud, but I on-trade him.  :-\

8. Mexico City give: Stewart Crameri, Brandon Jack
Mexico City receive: Brad Hill, Jed Lamb

Was happy with this one, as it helps me get a couple of guns in the next trade.  :)

9. Mexico City give: Brad Hill + Blake Acres + Dean Terlich
Mexico City receive: Brent Harvey + James Kelly + Pick 18

Through my trading above, basically was Crameri + Pick 55 for Harvey + Kelly. I'll take that every day of the week.  :D

10. Mexico City give: Pick 44
Mexico City receive: Craig Moller + Pick 62

Bad trade, Moller is a long way off.  :(

11. Mexico City give: Brad Ebert, Tim Membrey + Picks 19, 26
Mexico City receive: Bryce Gibbs, Sam Gilbert, Liam McBean

Was looking to improve my midfield, by getting a better premo for Ebert. Luckily I end up trading back in Ebert, because Gibbs has struggled this year while Ebert has had a great year.  :)

12.Mexico City give: Daniel Merrett, Ciaran Sheehan + Pick 62
Mexico City receive: Matt Shaw, Tom Bell + Picks 68, 86

Merrett and Sheehan were pretty useless to me, so was happy to trade them for two promising youngsters.  :D

13. Mexico City give: Adam Goodes, James Strauss
      Mexico City receive: Pick 40

Goodes wasn't going to get games so happy to get rid of him.  :)

14. Mexico City give: Tom Bell
      Mexico City receive: Shaun Hampson

Averaging 92 as a fwd. Horrible trade, wish I kept Bell. Hampson is important tho, as I need him as back up to Ivan.  :'(

15. Mexico City give: Mark Baguley, Matt Shaw + Pick 40
Mexico City receive: Matthew Broadbent + Pick 83

Baguley and Broadbent have both been solid without being spectacular. With Shaw being a MID only, I'm happy to upgrade Baguley to the younger Broadbent.  :)

16. Mexico City give: Pick 86
      Mexico City receive: Kamdyn McIntosh

Happy with this one, been a fan of Kamdyn since day one. Scored big in round one for me, but hasn't done much since.  :)

17. Mexico City give: Jed Lamb
      Mexico City receive: Lindsay Thomas

Lindsay > Lamb  :)

18. Mexico City give: Nathan Hrovat, Sam Gilbert, Tom Curren + Pick 18
Mexico City receive: Brad Ebert, Zak Jones, Taylor Hunt + Picks 46, 86

Very happy with this one. Ebert has been great, while Hrovat has done nothing. Jones was a upgrade on Gilbert and Hunt has been solid as depth.  ;D

19. Mexico City give: Picks 46, 86
      Mexico City receive: Lloyd Perris

Perris yet to show anything, but I like him. Still got plenty of time.  :-\

20. Mexico City give: Scott Thompson + Pick 68
Mexico City receive: Shaun Grigg, George Hewett + Pick 37

Thompson has been great this season, but it's likely his last. So decided to cash him in and get some younger guys. Trade not a disaster, since Grigg has been able to improve his output.  :-[

21. Mexico City give: George Hewett + Pick 37
      Mexico City receive: Jesse Lonergan

Rated Lonergan highly, so overpaid to get him. Showed some signs this year, but I trade him later.  :(

22. Mexico City give: Zak Jones
      Mexico City receive: Leigh Montagna

Great trade! Montags has been on fire this season while Jones hasn't been sighted.  :)

23. Mexico City give: Matthew Pavlich, James Kelly, Brendon Ah Chee + Pick 83
Mexico City receive: Michael Johnson, Mark Whiley + Picks 32, 74

Pav was depth, so traded him to a youngster I rate in Whiley. Johnson on Kelly was also a big upgrade in my eyes.  :)

24. Mexico City give: Luke Hodge, Craig Moller + Pick 32
Mexico City receive: Kade Simpson, John Butcher + Pick 87

Not the worst trade, Hodge has been better. But there was a chance he could lose DPP at the time, and I wasn't convinced he would play 22 games. So I went for the safer, more consistent option in Simmo.  :-\

25. Mexico City give: Mark Whiley, Leigh Montagna
Mexico City receive: Ben Lennon, Mathew Stokes

Bad trade, Stokes has been average this year. Wish I kept Montags  :'( :-[

26. Mexico City give: Aaron Sandilands, Bryce Gibbs
Mexico City receive: Tom Rockliff, James Sicily

Happy to bring in a GUN like Rocky, even though he's hardly played this year. He will come good.  :)

27. Mexico City give: Ben Lennon, Lindsay Thomas, John Butcher, Dylan Addison, Daniel Pearce
Mexico City receive: Blake Acres, Drew Petrie, Darcy Byrne-Jones, Paul Stewart + Picks 70, 81

I rate Acres and Petrie was an upgrade on Thomas. Worked well for both parties.  :)

28. Mexico City give: Drew Petire, Jesse Lonergan
Mexico City receive: Daniel Wells, Matt McDonough

Wells has done nothing this year and it's too early to judge McDonough, but I've definitely lost this one so far.  :(

Averaging 92 as a fwd. Horrible trade, wish I kept Bell. Hampson is important tho, as I need him as back up to Ivan.  :'(
:D :D

and then we traded Bell for basically Seb Ross :'( lol

But Jones' year is next year anyway  ;)

I have reflected on this trade often this year, as had I not done it, I would've looked really ordinary in a couple of games. Petrie has been great for me, so very happy with this one. Lonergan looks like he'll get defence status next year too  :)
