Quickly tallied up the scores and it looks like we win 1258 to 443. I think that beats the record by a good 200 or so points  8)

Pumped to go on and win the Fist Class now as well  8)

In last place....
SA vs NSW
397 to 560

Best players:
SA - John Hastings (161)
NSW - Stephen O'Keefe (C, 226), Adam Zampa (147)

Unnamed Gems:
SA - None
NSW - Shane Watson (90)

NSW got the better of the two bottom placed sides here. O'Keefe and Zampa were great and some other solid contributions around the park as well. SA never got going and many would say finished where they deserved given the effort put in by the manager.

Prizemoney:
SA - $0
NSW - $10,000

The best of the worst
VIC defeated TAS
997 to 522

Best players:
VIC - Marcus Stoinis (C, 404), Billy Stanlake (167), Peter Handscomb (30 + 102), Dan Christian (66 + 106)
TAS - Tom Cooper (146), Moises Henriques (112), Jackson Bird (C, 100)

Unnamed Gems:
VIC - None
TAS - Usman Khawaja (95)

This was always going to favour the Possums with the high number of Victorian players playing twice. However when Stanlake, Stoinis missed the first match, and Handscomb, Christian were poor, this game was suddenly open. Stoinis coming in thanks to Glenn Maxwell's suspension killed the game, with a huge 202 before doubling! TAS were not terrible though, the 4th highest scoring team this round.

Prizemoney:
TAS - $20,000
VIC - $40,000

#109
And in 3rd place
NT defeated by WA
310 to 655

Best players:
NT - Matthew Wade (105 + 15), Aaron Finch (2 + 95)
WA - Tim Ludeman (C, 180), Mitchell Starc (138), James Pattinson (43 + 120)

Unnamed Gems:
NT - Rob Quiney (132 + 1), Hilton Cartwright (158 + 104), Mitch Johnson (184), Ryan Lees (68)
WA - Charlie Hemphrey (82)

Sometimes, owning every single player in the competition does not help, the Kangaroos felt the full force of that here. Three huge scorers not named have cost them this. WA bounced back nicely here to record a comfortable win to take 3rd place, which is a very good effort :)

Prizemoney:
NT - $75,000
WA - $100,000

Finally, the inaugural D6s Champion....
ACT completely obliterated by QLD
451 to 1235

QLD:
Joe Burns (C, 194 + 168)
Nathan Reardon (190 + 80)
Travis Head (34)
James Faulkner (114)
Mark Steketee (141 + 187)
Cameron Boyce (65 + 62)

ACT:
Marcus Harris (44 + 18)
Peter Nevill (35)
Tim Paine (84)
Evan Gulbis (12)
Andrew Tye (60)
Jon Holland (C, 56 + 142)

Unnamed Gems:
QLD - None, they named all their gems
ACT - Adam Voges (233), Scott Boland (75 + 15)

Well, at least the non call on Voges didn't come back to hurt. Not until we re-visit in 5 years and see that this is still the most lopsided Final we have had. The Koalas were just dominate all over the park, and have subsequently broken the record for the highest score of the season by almost 200 points. Congratulations to nrich102 and BB67th for taking this out, well done to Jayman for finishing 2nd. Both teams receive a nice pay packet to help them with the T20 competition starting up soon.

Prizemoney:
ACT - $125,000
QLD - $200,000

I have some spare time tonight I will slowly post up some more numbers from the tournament that you might all find interesting :)

Tot Round 1 Round 2 Round 3 Round 4 Round 5 TOTAL RANK
ACT 968 485 1083 923 743 4202 1
NSW 285 490 564 640 537 2516 7
NT 728 646 630 672 1013 3689 2
QLD 692 357 572 580 1253 3454 4

TAS 244 530 447 715 605 2541 6
VIC 189 530 522 510 958 2709 5
WA 853 1042 661 311 672 3539 3

Total score throught the season. The four teams that finished top 4 overall were in the top 4 here. The bottom 4 teams finished as ranked here.

Players Round 1 Round 2 Round 3 Round 4 Round 5 TOTAL RANK
ACT 15 16 16 15 13 75 1
NSW 6 9 11 10 7 43 6
NT 17 11 11 14 20 73 2
QLD 12 9 10 12 18 61 3
SA 8 10 10 8 10 46 5
TAS 7 7 7 8 10 39 8
VIC 11 11 10 10 13 55 4
WA 8 9 9 7 9 42 7

Number of players that played (DGW = 2 players). QLD were huge in that 5th Round and their score replicated that. All those DGW players really played a part. WA and TAS have some work to do in the recruitment department it seems.

PPGPP Round 1 Round 2 Round 3 Round 4 Round 5 TOTAL RANK
ACT 64.53 30.31 67.69 61.53 57.15 56.03 5
NSW 47.50 54.44 51.27 64.00 76.71 58.51 3
NT 42.82 58.73 57.27 48.00 50.65 50.53 7
QLD 57.67 39.67 57.20 48.33 69.61 56.62 4
SA 48.00 30.70 55.80 90.88 42.60 52.22 6
TAS 34.86 75.71 63.86 89.38 60.50 65.15 2
VIC 17.18 48.18 52.20 51.00 73.69 49.25 8
WA 106.63 115.78 73.44 44.43 74.67 84.26 1

Points per game per player. No surprises who won this one, WA were huge early on thanks to Starc. I think I need to work on something a bit different for this section, it doesn't really explain much as the hoarders (NT and ACT) had really good top end players but the others making up numbers drop the averages. I do stats at uni maybe I should look at applying something more complex for the Shield data.
