I don't usually try to name a side in place but have tried today.I find it hard to place players when theya ll follow the ball and don't seem to actually play a position.
Mzungu McPharlin Spurr
Dawson Johnson Duffield.
D Pearce Barlow Crowley
Deboer Pavlich Hill
Ballantyne Mayne NWalters
Griffen, Fyfe and mundy
Hannath Neale and C Pearce
Sub, Suban
Maybe a bit short down back but can't see any one to bring height to that line other thn maybe Faulks. But I am not sure he is ready yet.
Also maybe Ibbotson for Spurr or Duffield.
Also maybe Mellington instead of Neale.
I guess we will soon find out how much we will miss the vigour of Smokey McPhee.
FB: Johnson, Dawson, Spurr
HB: Duffield, McPharlin, D Pearce
C: Hill, Barlow, Fyfe
HF: DeBoer, Pavlich, Mayne
FF: Ballantyne, Hannath, Walters
RUCK: Griffen, Mundy, Crowley
INT: Suban, Mzungu, C Pearce
Sub: Neale/Mellington/Crozier

Dan Pearce being used a running back?
Yes, switching in there with Mzungu and C Pearce (Fish Pub). He will push up to the wings on occaisions as well.
Thanks Valk...what is Maynes potential this year in your view?
Mayne: 30-40 goals
Ballantyne: 30 - 40 goals
Walters: 30 - 40 goals
2nd KPF: 30 - 40 goals
SuperPav: 50+ (in race for Coleman again)
If that happens expect to see us in the top 4

Ballantyne!!!...should really consider him but I just dont like him... >:(
Dont consider Balla for DT/SC (if that's what you're talking about). He will average 60 - 70 IMO
Do you see us as being a bit short down back!!
i see we have the same players Valk just different positions.Hard to place them now days though.
The intechange and sub are interesting as well.Maybe you are right about Suban being an inter and Neale the sub.
but I think at this stage the side almost picks itself.hard to see many of the young guns getting a chance early.
I don't think they will start Hannath at FF.I see that as a specialist position for Mayne .but I guess we will see.
We have 3 talls which is plenty.
Dawson - 197cm
McPharlin - 192cm
Johnson - 195cm
We had those last season as well but this year we are short one with McPhee gone. Spurr is not all that big, only 182.I think Smokey was bigger than that.
If Ibbo misses again we are short I think,he is 186.
Would you consider Faulks at 194!! he is a much harder player than Ibbo as well I reckon.just not sure he is match fit to take his place though.
I suspect they will name a squad of 24 this afternoon.
They wont go in with more than 3 talls
Cox, Darling, Kennedy
Spurr may be small but he is damn hard at it.
darling is more of a medium than a tall.
Darlin is 191cm.
McPharlin is 192cm and considered KP

KP isn't necessarily height though, it's also role based. I think darling played mostly as a KPF last year due to JJKs injury, really he's not big enough for it, he's about the same height and weight as myself... one of his best attributes is (from memory) his clean hands below the knees, he's big enough to take reasonable marks, but also has the ability to go low, I'd say that classes him as medium. ftr Mcpharlins 193cm I'm pretty sure :P
pendles is also 191cm, I wouldn't define him as a key forward :P
McPharlin is definitely 192cm
I'm a bit torn, on one hand wikipedia, google, fanfooty say he's 193cm... but the freo site says 192 :P
Gotta go with the Freo website
but, gooogle :/ :P
