Also note that Internationals (Smiddy, Hazlewood etc) will be available for Round 1 so probably named. Not sure on those carrying injuries like Starc however, we all know that Aussie fast bowlers can't bowl more than 20 overs a week otherwise they get injured for 5 months.
Maxy not even named...really Vic? >:(
At least I have Cartwright to cover for him
Oh, no Stoinis wtf. Neser comes on then.
Jewell named for Tassie though. :o
Probably should've named Hemphrey over Henry, might be playing with a donut. :-X
So of the 66 players playing today, all 66 are owned by D6s teams!! Would have to be the first time ever that this has occurred!
NT Kangaroos 9
NSW Platypuses 7
WA Swans 6
SA Wombats 11
T Devils 9
ACT Cockatoos 7
V Possums 10
Q Koalas 7
And I have 11 of them!! o.O SA the only team yet to have made the top 4 in any comp so far, hopefully we make it in this one :D
So the match-ups for Round 1:
Q Koalas [5]: Joe Burns (C), Travis Head, Sam Whiteman, James Faulkner, Cameron Boyce
vs
NT Kangaroos [6]: Cam Bancroft, Aaron Finch, Peter Forrest, Matthew Wade (C), Jason Behrendorff, Luke Feldman
NSW Platypuses [6]: Callum Ferguson, Jake Lehmann, Jake Doran, Alex Carey, Ashton Agar (C), David Moody
vs
SA Wombats [6]: Ed Cowan, Shaun Marsh, George Bailey, Peter Siddle, Chadd Sayers, Nathan Lyon (C)
ACT Cockatoos [6]: Adam Voges, Marcus Harris, Steve Smith (C), Peter Nevill, Andrew Fekete, Scott Boland
vs
V Possums [6]: Michael Klinger, Jake Weatherald, Peter Handscomb, Michael Neser, Joe Mennie (C), Chris Tremain
T Devils [6]: Tom Cooper, Usman Khawaja, David Warner, Moises Henriques (C), Jackson Bird, Kane Richardson
vs
WA Swans [5]: Marnus Labuschagne, Ben Dunk, Mitchell Marsh, Mitchell Starc (C), Josh Hazlewood
Depsite everyone having 6 or more players available two teams named too many non playing players so only have 5 on the field :( As we know though it's irrelevant because if one player has a good game (Like Mitch Starc with a Pink Ball) it can more than make up for the extra player.
And because why not... Live scores...
Q Koalas: 33
NT Kangaroos: 254
NSW Platypuses: 10
SA Wombats: 101
ACT Cockatoos: 519
V Possums: 236
T Devils: 41
WA Swans: 54
ACT off to a flyer with Smith and Harris both making 100s!
I love how in a round with all the test hopefuls and big buys available that it's 75k buy Luke Feldman carrying my team so far ::)
Stumps Day 1:

I thought the same, I wrote that down when updating the scores. Then noticed they declared went back and checked it again! I had Labush out ct Nevill b Hazlewood for 76, but cricket.com.au now showing Chris Hartley out ct Warner b Hazlewood for 1 instead...
88.4 Hazlewood to Chris Hartley (wk)

COOPER!!!
Possums will be ruing the non-selection of Dan Christian here.
Koalas would be very happy with Cameron Boyce

Swans lose Starc, and as such may have lost their chance of a win.

Also realised that ACT vs VIC is the Grand Final rematch! What coincidence that it's found itself as a Round 1 matchup haha

Yeah I have Boyce out for a duck (Speadsheet will fix that soon) and Faulkner with points against him for getting out, as well points against Faulkner for getting out, so should be the same.
I have an interesting new addition for this season. One which the XV/XVIII comps coulddo, but as far as I am aware none of them do this. Need this final Tassie wicket to be able to start everything off :D
Round 1 Results
Welcome back Shield cricket! The best form of cricket and I reckon the most exciting of the 3 competitions we have. With all the Internationals available, we had some very high scores this week across the board, in fact 7 Test hopefuls find themselves in the best players list below. The Wombats are off to the flyer, passing the 1000 mark. It looks like a long season for WA yet again...

We all wish the world was perfect right, but things don't always go to plan. So whilst we may pick the 6 players we think will score the most for any given round, it isn't usually the case. Throughout the season I'll be posting the best case scenario scores, and also the efficiency rating for each team. E.g. team scores 600, but the best possible score was 800, you're efficiency is 75%.

Also I wanted to put up the efficiency numbers to see exactly how well everyone's team selection goes. Throughout that Matador Cup without knowing exact numbers the Possums were horrendous and only one change each GW probably would've seen them win the whole thing.

Boy oh boy what a round! How my Wombats put up that kind of score I don't know, and the Platypuses weren't far behind when you look at who they didn't name! The Possums did the job over NT, and ACT with 4 players knocked off the Devils who only had 5. Looking like a long season for the Swans, who with 4 players will be relying on Maddinson a lot, although Cummins and maybe Conway could find themselves games soon to ease some pain.

Considering I changed the captaincy from Agar (who I was sick of underperforming) to Fergy (who was in serious form)! As you can see by my abysmal efficiency, I haven't been getting much right this season! Haha
Hurts when the captain scores -9
There's a change being made to the coaching ranks. I never really planned to have a team and only took over because at the time there was no interest, and recently both Koop and fantTCfool approached me saying they wanted to get involved. After speaking to them both, they've agreed on Koop to be the new coach of the SA Wombats, and fanTCfool will be his assistant coach.
I'll go back to a neutral role so I can cover for any weekly absences without any potential bias. The 3rd Round for the Shield is only a few days away, squads will be out soonish I reckon and I'll try to post them here if I get a chance (I have my last exam on the day the round starts). Also the T20 Auction will be approaching soon, will look at probably a start in the last weekend in November at this stage, depends how detailed the squads are. I'll take a closer look at that in a week.
But for now, welcome to Koop and fTC :D
Welcome coaches who were favored by PB rigging the game :P
Keen to be involved and working with the man El Kopo!
I do like my double D's (;)) and the man Chadd Sayers may soon top the list looking at the two monster scores to date!
Still no word on squads for games starting tomorrow. I did read that everyone bar Smith, Warner, Starc, Hazlewood from the test team will be available though. Not sure on Shaun Marsh and Peter Siddle with their injuries, but Mitch Marsh, Joe Mennie, Ferguson are all available to play so it'll be a pretty strong round this one :) And obviously so much pressure on some players to perform so we could see some stellar performances this round :)
Really needed Starc or Hazlewood playing :(

Voges, Mitch Marsh in for WA. Bosisto, Duffield, Moody all out. Josh Nicholas and Simon Mackin also in the squad.
Also on this page is the Tassie squad, I don't see anything surprising here, Jackson Bird also in.

Queensland squad, but Joe Burns needs to be added to this, my guess is for Hemphrey as Renshaw is also back and will open with Burns, pushing Charlie out.
Just a reminder that player poaching is a part of this game. To avoid players going on the poachable list. It's too wordy to explain but basically if any player gets to 4 on the list below then they are on that list. Remember naming a player on the emergencies will count as naming the player, so your emergency players do have some meaning :)
South Australian Wombats
Cameron White 1

** Note that in Round 1 Doug Bollinger was not named at the toss but then entered the game from Day 3 onward. As he wasn't named in the initial XI he will not get a strike against his name for this. Obviously this will apply for any future instances of this.

Handscomb 200 make up for it?
Can't believe my efficiency is actually gonna get worse hahahaha ;D :'( ;D :'(
Round 3 Results
Q Koalas 791 defeated by V Possums 1090QLD best: Whiteman (248), Head (126 x2 = 252), George (168), Milenko (145) [not named]
VIC best: Handscomb (265), Tremain (239 x2 = 478), Turner (178), Christian (122) [not named]
The Possums go to 2-1 with the top score of the round, the only team to break 1000. The right captain choice had them on the front foot early, QLD had some decent scores and were unlucky to lose being the 3rd best for the round.
SA Wombats 701 defeated WA Swans 266SA Best: Doolan (262) [not named], Hartley (182) [not named], Wildermuth (172), Sayers (97 x2 = 194)
WA Best: Labushcagne (120)
New manager Koop gets the easiest of starts, up against a WA side that could only field 3 players. The efficiency rating will drop dramatically though with what were some poor choices at the selection table. (fyi fTC your team only managed 598) The Wombats go to 3-0 and are the only undefeated team left.
NT Kangaroos 460 defeated by T Devils 843NT Best: Behrendorff (208), Feldman (114)
TAS Best: Khawaja (173 x2 = 346), Bird (203), Cutting 208 [not named], Richardson (152)
The Kangaroos fall to 0-3 with another poor showing with only 2 players hitting triple figures. The Devils on the other hand had 7 players reach double figures, but only named 4 of them. A nice start for them (2-1) but will lose Khawaja, Warner, Bird to the test team for the next round.
NSW Platypuses 526 defeated ACT Cockatoos 416NSW Best: Carey (200), Zampa (179), Renshaw (248) [not named], Wells (164) [not named]
ACT Best: Boland (164) [not named???], Harris (110), Holland (114)
NSW get another win, and another chance to post a ridiculous score goes begging. The unlikely heroes constantly stepping up to ruin the efficiency rating for Scrads. The Cockatoos on the other hand must be wondering how Scott Boland managed to be missed at the selection table?? The errors has cost Jay and sees them fall to 2-1, but should see Nevill and Voges return to regular appearances for their state sides for a while.

Hope you enjoyed my long run down haven't done one that detailed for a while, quite enjoyed it tbh! :P
Nice to start off with a win, and very much appreciate the long write up PB!
Good thing about not naming our two top scorers is that we have some options to replace Sayers with ;D
Efficiency so bad for us! I guess when you have 12 and 10 player to pick from across the last 2 weeks it isn't easy.
Onto next round! Legitimately considering dropping Fergy (although Renshaw out on test duty might save him! Lucky I didn't lose Patterson as well!)
6 of you still have teams to name for Round 4, it begins tomorrow so be quick!
I can see you're all super keen for the live scores by all the posts in this thread. So here we go:
Live Update: Stumps Day 2
WA Swans [0-3, 5 players] - 182 (Labuschagne 99)
vs
Q Koalas [1-2, 6] - 522 (Head 360, Burns 88)
Koalas captain Travis Head comes to the party, the Swans have 5 players this week but they aren't matching it so far. Koalas looking good to go 2-2.
T Devils [2-1, 5] - 403 (Henriques 165, Cooper 137)
vs
V Possums [2-1, 6] - 415 (Tremain 224, Weatherald 108)
The tightest game at the moment. The Devils would be ruing the captain selection of Cutting over Henriques. The Possums have done alright at the selection table this round it seems, Chris Tremain will need a big 2nd innings to keep their points ticking. I pick the Possums
ACT Cockatoos [2-1, 4] - 490 (Nevill 269, Boland 182)
vs
SA Wombats [3-0, 6] - 307 (Wildermuth 117, Swepson 79)
The undefeated Wombats are in trouble! A 4 man Cockatoo outfit has come out swinging and Peter Nevill has shown he can score runs. The Wombats have the numbers advantage, we'll see if they can peg back this deficit. I think ACT have built a fair lead, I tip them from here.
NSW Platypuses [2-1, 6] - 269 (Patterson 101, Agar 132)
vs
NT Kangaroos [0-3, 6] - 443 (Finch 152, Bancroft 118, Copeland 114)
NSW have the worst efficiency, and the only reason it'll get better this round is because no one on their roster has done anything spectacular to date. Agar holds the key to their comeback. Kangaroos have a lead but are down for 5 with Behrendorff getting injured. Cam Bancroft appears to have taken his final chance with both hands. Kangaroos from here
Trav Head single handedly saving the Koalas. 252 as captain the only decent score this week.

Round 4 Results
WA Swans 445 defeated by Q Koalas 759WA Best: Labuschagne (154), Marsh (144), Conway (120)
QLD Best: Head (252 x2 = 504), Faulkner (2370 [not named], Burns (116)
The Swans found themselves as the 2nd lowest scoring team this week, an achievement for them as this has been another dirty season for them so far. Mitch Marsh provided a nice score, and Marnus Labuschagne looks to have cemented his place in the Bulls batting lineup. The Koalas can thank Travis Head for their score, no one else did much and he lifted them to the Koalas 2nd win of the season.
T Devils 696 defeated by V Possums 783TAS Best: Henriques (171), Richardson (162), Cooper (138)
VIC Best: Tremain (165 x2 = 330), Neser (270) [not named], Harper (186) [not named]
I could go on with the Possums they had 7 players pass 100 this round, but only named 3 of them (Turner was 1 run short on two occasions from making it 8 past the ton for the week). Thankfully for them they did enough to get past a 5 man Devils side who put up a good fight with 3 of their 5 passing 130, and the other 2 combining for 139. The Possums certainly seem like the team to catch this season, if they put their best team on the park each week.
ACT Cockatoos 736 defeated SA Wombats 705ACT Best: Nevill (289), Boland (123 x2 = 246), Holland (169)
SA Best: Wildermuth (174), Swepson (170), Hartley (126)
An agonising loss for the Wombats who fall just short of remaining undefeated. They wouldn't have expected only 5 points from star batsman George Bailey, his selection being the downfall. ACT for the 2nd week running had less then 6 players and didn't name someone they could've named (In this case Rainbird's 61 is unused). This week they get over the line thanks to the best keeper-batsman in Australia Peter Nevill re-gaining his form and racking up 289 points for the Cockatoos.
NSW Platypuses 415 defeated by NT Kangaroos 974NSW Best: Patterson (127), Somerville (122) [not named], Doran (116) [not named], Agar (94 x2 = 188)
NT Best: Copeland (308), Finch (205), Cartwright (174), Bancroft (172)
BratPack nails selection this week (bar captaincy) and as such put up the highest score of the week. Trent Copeland is looking very good and is a maiden collecting machine (24 maidens this week!). With the Redbacks having a down game this lead to a low score for the Platypuses, Ferguson, Carey, Lehmann, Zampa combining for only 100 points. NT get on the board for the year, NSW are in the pack.

This round of fixtures are very important. As The T20 comp has HGA, the ladder positions that each team sits in after Round 5 of FC contribute to the amount of HGA a team starts with, and as 1st can technically find a way to fall to 5th after this week, it's a vital round.

Also I think for next season OD and FC we should have OOP penalties, seeing as we have something for the T20 comp. Might look into a little restructure of how we name sides. :-\
who needs 6 players when you have the best player in Australia and he is also capt
Gotta love Torp's no name bowlers getting him points this round haha. Nicholas with a 50, Conway 3 wickets :o
Sayers should be tracking alright, 3 wickets in the first innings and even chipped in with 30 odd with the bat.
Turner with a century. Almost played him over Trav Dean but Vic bias...
Round 5: Day 2 Stumps
Q Koalas 310 (Milenko 126)
T Devils 656 (Khawaja 414, Richardson 102)
After Travis Head defeated WA last week, it looks like Khawaja is gonna dish it out to nrich's Koalas :o This one is done I reckon
WA Swans 468 (Maddinson 240, Nicholas 142)
ACT Cockatoos 498 (Holland 200, Rainbird 103)
Close game! Jay has a player advantage but if Maddinson can repeat his first innings score then Torp might getting a win! I pickt he Cockatoos though.
V Possums 309 (Tremain 178)
NSW Platypuses 148
Scrads called it, his two highest scoring players so far this week are not even emergencies. Similar can be said for the Possums, their 2 highest scorers aren't named either. if Agar gets involved NSW have a way back, but the Possums for me.
SA Wombats 464 (Sayers 256)
NT Kangaroos 372 (Mackin 187)
A bowler shootout with bats on both sides failing. I'll be at the ground tomorrow cheering on Wombats' Chadd Sayers and not Kangaroos Ryan Carters, so I pick the Wombats to win this :P Shaping up as match of the round though.

NSW Platypuses 157

SA Wombats 748 (Sayers 516)
NT Kangaroos 823 (Mackin 449, Feldman 126)
BOY OH BOY WOWEE! So NT have Cartwright who may get a few batting points, and any fielding points from Michael. SA have whatever Hartley, Wildermuth, Swepson can put together with the remaining 57 runs before they lose, but also have Cameron White who you'll think will get a decent chance to make some runs!
Live Update:
SA Wombats 762
NT Kangaroos 823
Soooooo, I was mucking around trying to work out what White needed to score, then I noticed a tiny error... :-[
Everyone that was bowling 5 maidens in their 2nd bowling innings was getting a 30 point bonus, those that were taking 5 wickets in the 2nd innings were not getting their bonus.
Hasn't changed a result from a past week, but does change where the SA vs NT game sits.
Cheering for Cam White for pretty much the first time in my life, but it sounds like this small scoring blunder will make a big difference to the score we will need to get a win.

Queensland hanging on to the lead and as such their slim finals chances. ACT have just had no one get involved yet, maybe Nevill will go on and make a score, or the 3 Vic bowlers they have could take some wickets.
NSW Platypuses 265 [Patterson 101] vs T Devils 478 [Richardson 211, Henriques 192]
NSW need to win to give themselves a chance as the Devils are the vulnerable ones in the 4. But Richardson and Henriques have come to play, and unless Ferguson gets a decent score in the 2nd innings, might be curtains for the Platypuses. The Devils trying to have 3 top 4 finishes in Season 2, the Koalas managed to do it last season.
NT Kangaroos 437 [Mackin 199, Copeland 82] vs WA Swans 243 [Labuschagne 80]
In the cellar dweller battle it looks like it'll be a Mackin lead Kangaroos side that will get a win. Finals is impossible for them unless NSW get a win to keep the Devils within reach, but 5th is still a possibility, and every dollar counts right?
SA Wombats 786 [Sayers 554, Hartley 172] vs V Possums 336 [Christian 96, Dean 87]
Well, the Possums become the latest team to fall victim to a Chadd Sayers masterclass. it really doesn't help that he's bowling in overcast conditions with a Duke to a bad team. Another wicket for him will see his score skyrocket because of all the bonuses he gets (5WI and 10WM) When is a good time to mention that the Wombats have Ed Cowan's 194 on the bench and it could've been a scary score for them?

It's ridiculous how much I can't get my team right. My 'best possible score' is consistently in the top 2-3 each round but I just don't name the right players! Grr!

Round 7 Progress Score: Stumps Day 2
Q Koalas 246 vs NSW Platypuses 347
(QLD: Milenko 84, Burns 72; NSW: Patterson 216, Moody 83)
NSW looking like picking up a win to end off the season for both these teams.
ACT Cockatoos 435 vs NT Kangaroos 600
(ACT: Nevill 203, Holland 113; NT: Mackin 226, Finch 127, Bancroft 124, Cartwright 114)
Not the best lead in to finals for the Cockatoos, a loss here sees them slip to 4th most likely. A win and pending other results they may end 2nd. NT finishing the season all guns blazing but too late after their 0-3 start.
T Devils 779 vs SA Wombats 456
(TAS: Henriques 630, Richardson 117; SA: Sayers 274, Bailey 126, White 74)
What a game! Looked like a close one after Day 1 but Henriques just kept batting! Now it's the Devils game to lose. Sayers needs to get lots of the wickets on offer tomorrow for the Wombats to get back into it. The Devils will be hoping Kane Richardson steals all those wickets.
WA Swans 173 vs V Possums 227
(WA: Pattinson 101, Labuschagne 73)
The Possums top scores has 61, lowest scorer has 27. If the Swans had a captain this week it'd be serious trouble for Nige and Pk. They should still find a way to not lose this though. Surely.
You mean if Valente played like he was supposed to?

Was him or Moody (who is at least also doing well). Went Moody and Bollinger because I figured the Dukes ball helps the quicks more than the spinners haha
Round 7 Progress Score: Stumps Day 3
Q Koalas 689 v NSW Platypuses 512
NSW have Bollinger and Patterson (C) still playing, QLD have Burns (C), George and Steketee. I think the Koalas hang on here.
ACT Cockatoos 660 vs NT Kangaroos 816
ACT have only Nevill playing, NT have Abbott and Copeland. Too many points for Nevill to catch up in one day. Kangaroos end with a win.
T Devils 843 vs SA Wombats 744
Devils still have Hughes, Henriques (C), Floros playing. Wombats have Cowan, Hartley and Wildermuth. Really depends on how long Hartley bats for, the other 5 players probably won't score much tomorrow.
WA Swans 283 vs V Possums 294
HOW THE HELL IS THIS STILL A CONTEST?! If Torp had a captain this would be game over easily. The Possums have only Neser still going tomorrow (And how many points can we expect from him if QLD bat again), while the Swans have Labuschagne, who will likely get another bat with ample time to score runs. Heading into this round the Possums lowest score for the season was higher than the Swans highest score, so this really would be the ultimate upset!
Genuine request to put me on suicide watch if when we lose.

Is Conway a full playing substitute or was he just on the field to take the catch? If he's actually in the XI now then they'll count, otherwise they won't count.
Well the Queensland bowlers are saving the day for Nige.

Fair enough. Somerville has done a good job in all the matches he's played now :)
The two close games are still close. The longer this QLD innings goes for the happier the Possums and Wombats will be. Swans and Devils need this innings to end soon.

Need to hope Labuschagne either comes on and bowls to get a wicket, or takes 2 catches in the field. And need Neser to not do anything. You need this innings to end first though :P
Hartley stranded on 86*. That hurts the Wombats chances.

Live Score Update
Q Koalas 760 vs NSW Platypuses 518
Somerville 262 on the bench for the Platypuses :'( QLD have Joe Burns (C) who might be a chance to propel them into the top score for the week though.
ACT Cockatoos 670 vs NT Kangaroos 842
Nevill vs Abbott/Copeland. Wont happen with NSW bowling again.
T Devils 843 vs SA Wombats 820
Devils have Hughes, Henriques and Floros. Only expect fielding points here. Wombats have Cowan, Hartley and Wildermuth. Maybe some batting points if the top order get out.
WA Swans 283 vs V Possums 294
Labuschagne vs Neser, this is a straight forward one. Marnus will get the chance to bat the Swans to a remarkable win.
The 4 possible scenarios:
Swans/Devils win: Wombats, Devils, Cockatoos, Possums is the ladder
Swans/Wombats win: Wombats, Devils, Cockatoos, Possums
Possums/Devils win: Wombats, Devils, Possums, Cockatoos
Possums/Wombats win: Wombats, Possums, Devils, Cockatoos

Burns goes big, gets QLD the win and the TOTW award, they almost got the perfect week too. The same can't be said for the Platypuses who's season of selection dramas continued. 6 players scored 100+, only 2 were named and 3 of them were emergencies including Somervilles huge 291...

NT best: Mackin 312 (c), Cartwright 166, Finch 150, Bancroft 135, Forrest 104 [not named]
A decent score for the Cockatoos with Nevill and Holland showing they are among the best in this competition. But it was no match for BratPack's Kangaroos who've ended the year really strongly with 3 wins in the last 4 rounds. It is however the end of the season for them, ending 6th. The Cockatoos have advanced to the finals.

This was an epic, and the good news is that next round it will be replayed! Both teams had huge captain scores and it went right down to the final over of the final game, where if Ed Cowan took a wicket it would've been a Wombats win. As it is, the Devils get the W, and end the season in 2nd
WA Swans 294

WA best: Pattinson 219
VIC best: Tremain 112
Boy oh boy what just happened?! I almost jinxed it that's what happened. The Possums lowest score this season was 545, the Swans highest score this year? 522. Then add in the fact the Possums have 4 guys averaging 100+ in their side, and the Swans have only 2 players!!! Then the Swans had no captain either. And this also went down to the final ball of the game, Labuschagne needed 12* or 22 for the Swans to win, he ends on 11* causing the tie. Incredible. The Possums should thanks their lucky stars though as the tie has seen them finish 3rd where a loss would've had them end 4th. This was destined to happen after I put up the "rivalries" section in the Honour Board thread, and not accounting for the event of a tie. But really Possums, it was 2v6...

Fast start to both the home teams.
It's always the case that the round when final start is the round when the players of teams not in the finals start to play well.
Behrendorff, Labuschagne, Zampa to name a few from this round.
Semi Final Progress Scores:
Major Semi

V Possums 408 vs ACT Cockatoos 115
Both games look over. For the record though, Jason Behrendorff scored an even 500 points this week! Sign that the Kangaroos will be a First Class force in Season 3 if he keeps fit?
Semi Final Progress Scores:
Major Semi
SA Wombats 1084 vs T Devils 521
If Cowan and Maddinson fall cheaply and then Hughes and Henriques both score 200 then the Devils will get up. But errr, unlikely that will happen :P Devils will probably close the gap and end about 200 short. Cowan is the only scoring the Wombats have left.
Minor Semi
V Possums 408 vs ACT Cockatoos 125
Possums are all played out I didn't recognize that last night. Cockatoos have Nevill and Paine playing, unlikely that they will catch up the required point on the final day.

Yo PB, whatever happened to the Poaching list? Did anyone go over the limit?

I think the poaching system needs to be re-thought and re-done which is why I didn't update post Christmas. So no-one will be placed on the poachable list for the start of next season.

as time of posting Tremain and Turner have 142 runs between them in half a game of cricket...

Guys in Italics have finished their match. Tomorrow needs to be the day for the Devils, as the remaining 4 Possums players all have 2 days to go in their match! Cooper will need runs, and Worrall and Richardson will need to take wickets. And Henriques will need to do both if there's time for him :-\
Griff could be three times a loser this season given he clearly cheated to win the one day final :P

I think the Possums are through now even if all their players from here get ducks
Day 4 Stumps
There's five days here as the WA vs VIC game started a day after the others
T Devils 734 vs V Possums 904
And the Devils are all played out, Possums have 5 players still in action. So the Possums are through regardless of what happens tomorrow!!
Peaked too early, will get romped in the big one.

Preliminary Final Score

defeated by
V Possums 924 (Tremain 528, Stoinis 116, Christian 111, Turner 102)
Only Dean over Klinger prevented the Vics from a perfect week, and the right captain would've seen the Devils end on 858.
Grand Final (16th March)
SA Wombats vs V Possums
Early score update from the Granny is the Possums have built a handy 200 point lead. But Chadd Sayers is bowling and now has 2 wickets. That deficit could be all gone in the 45 minutes before stumps in that match.
Stumps Day 1
SA Wombats:
C. White 20
G. Bailey 22
C. Hartley 77
J. Wildermuth -1
C. Sayers (c) 142

J. Peirson 36
A. Turner 104
D. Christian 80
J. Mennie 18
C. Tremain (c) 162
Total 406
A fast start by the Possums who have the 106 point buffer to start proceedings. Still too early to call. If Tremain gets some more runs like last game I back the Possums, but the other end there's Chadd Sayers bowling in Hobart...
Stumps Day 2
SA Wombats:
C. White 12
Ed Cowan 89
G. Bailey 39
C. Hartley 97
J. Wildermuth 57
C. Sayers (c) 158

A. Turner 104
D. Christian 77
J. Mennie 179
C. Tremain (c) 162
Total 562
The Wombats make some slight inroads to the lead thanks to Ed Cowan (I noticed I left him off the Day 1 scores lol, he had 0 at that point) and Jack Wildermuth. The Possums will be hoping there's no more bad weather around in Queensland so 4 of their players can get back to scoring points.
Both teams would be wishing they could change their starting VI as McDermott and Webster have both passed 100 points, neither were named :-\

This is with Turner 30* in the WA vs NSW game.
Possums have two players still playing, the Wombats have 3. Looks like it comes down to the Shield Medalist Chadd Sayers with the ball in hand tomorrow :) As the admin, I wouldn't want it any other way than for the final day to come down to the performance of the best player this season.
SA Wombats 712 vs V Possums 804
And the only player that can get points anymore is Turner of the Possums!
