Turns 30 next year, and I can't imagine other clubs would be chasing him so no real need for Brisbane to commit longer - play it year by year

As I edited later Robbo was holding out for a 2 year contract so must have caved in. Do not know why we did not offer the 2 years to be honest as he has had a new lease of life up here.

BRISBANE pair Rhys Mathieson and Archie Smith have re-signed with the Lions for a further two seasons.

The duo will be tied to the club until the end of 2021.

Still quite a few to resign with contracts expiring this year
