Title: All Australian Team 2010
Post by: aces-high on September 13, 2010, 09:28:54 PM
What are your thoughts on the final team?
Backs-Frawley,Lake,Enright
Half backs-Goddard,Taylor,O'brien
Centre-Joey,Hodge,Selwood
Half forward-Didak,Franklin,Chapman
Forwards-Hall,Riewoldt,Le Cras
Rucks-Sandi,Swan,Ablett
emer-Jamar,SJ,judd,pendlebury
Personally I believe Brad Green deserved a spot over Steve Johnson and Lenny Hayes deserved a spot over judd but the selectors as usual pick there same favourites what do you guys reckon?? Cheers

Backline looks good. Don't think I would of had Harry O though :-\.

Midfield is tough this year with so many. It was pretty stiff that Cross and Boyd missed out.

Forwards I think are good. Can't argue but still reckon Green should of made it. Could not go past him this year being in the form he was for most of the year.

Jamar as a second ruck seems alright for his breakout year. Could of gone with the 1 ruckman and threw in another player.

Thought Watson should have been there. Was in my 22.

It's not too bad. Green was incredibly stiff not to get in. I would have had him in either over Johnson or Jamar (one ruck is probably enough).

Probably would have had Hayes in over Judd as well.

19 of my 22 made it, and yeah, would also have had Hayes in over Judd.

Watson was good this year, but plenty of other midfielders better

The All-Australian "A" Team. (based on the left overs)

B: Nick Malceski, Dustin Fletcher, Brady Rawlings
HB: Brett Deledio, Chris Newman, James Kelly
C: Matthew Boyd, Jobe Watson, Lenny Hayes
HF: Brent Harvey, Matthew Pavlich, Dale Thomas
F: Darren Jolly, Adam Goodes, Brad Green
Foll: Shane Mumford, Nick Dal Santo, Adam Cooney
Inter: Andrew Swallow, David Mundy, Daniel Cross, Michael Barlow

Added Newman, Thomas, Cross and Barlow! Feel free to object!

Captain: Brent Harvey
V-Captain: Lenny Hayes

Wouldn't mind having that team fielded for me ;D.

Harry O was so overated this year, he's improved no doubt but cmon...

Also very surpised by Frawley, someone like Malceski would have been my pick.

Finally, where is Brad Green?

Brad Green was unlucky, I had him ahead of Stevie J. Though not actually in my team!

Love the Frawley selection of Malceski, Malceski faded a bit towards the end. You need an actual stopper in the team

Harry O's a star, but I'm bias

You forget how young Selwood, Pendles and Franklin are. Those 3 will be dominating for another decade yet. Scary.

Hall should've taken a walking stick on stage when he got one.

Oh and it was Enright's birthday yesterday? That's probably why he got the nod over Eski  ;)
