His numbers have declined every year since the 2008 season, as he allows youngsters in the side more time in the midfield for development. Geelong assistant coach James Rahilly said "We were really happy with his year. He got thrown around the ground a bit, but looking at his numbers he was still a great contested ball-winner for us.
