NEWS: Port Adelaide Defender Troy Chaplin believes "Jarrad Redden was so good as well. He's come from nowhere and it's just fantastic for him and his continued development. He was superb and against a quality ruckman...(Ben) McEvoy's been around for a while and it was brilliant to see 'Reddo' stand up and he got a helping hand from Daniel Stewart which is great."

NEWS: First game... 21 hit outs and 12 disposals with 3 marks... also 4 frees for. Subbed off in Q3 for Rodan.

NEWS: Redden has set his sights on the Number 1 Ruck Role. Before NAB Cup action, Redden was looked at, as 3rd in line in the Ruck stocks at Port Adelaide, but some strong NAB Cup performances have put him into strong contention. Redden had a solid performance in the first round of NAB Cup action and then backed it up the following week finishing with 13 possessions, 2 marks, 6 tackles and 25 hitouts for 84 Dream Team points. With Renouf and Lobbe both suffering from injury interrupted pre-seasons, Redden is certainly flying under the radar. Cash Cow Potential: Primus has guaranteed Redden a Round 1 Debut. Renouf not expected to play Round 1 being injured. Redden came back down to Earth in the final round of NAB Cup with a 37DT score and being a bit outclassed by Jamar, but he will learn from it and hopefully bounce back in Round 1. | This is a 2012 outlook article.

NEWS: Watch for Redden's percentage ownership to skyrocket. As long as Redden pulls up from the final round of the NAB Cup against Melbourne on the weekend, Primus believes "he's done enough, he's played enough, he's had a good enough pre-season and his form would say he's good enough."
