NEWS: Mcintosh had a shot to win the game in Round 1, attempting to kick a set shot after the siren against Essendon. He recently said "Obviously it was a pretty intense, close game and I was lucky enough to take the mark at the end. It's every kid's dream to kick a goal after the siren. I just went back and tried to stick to the basics, stick to my routine and kick the goal, but unfortunately it wasn't meant to be."

NEWS: Brad Scott believes "I rate them as elite level ruckmen, and if they are going to play up to their potential, they are in our top side,'' If either were to be dropped, Mcintosh would be the more likely, but you would have to think, this is going to hurt Goldstein more than Mcintosh in fantasy land.
| ||||
NEWS: Brad Scott is very optimistic about Mcintosh in 2012. It seems he has no doubt about playing both Mcintosh and Goldstein in tandem this year. It's true Mcintosh had a strong game finishing with 23 possessions, 8 marks and 14 Hitouts for 104 Dream Team points. But still no goals. They can't both play in the Ruck.
| ||||
NEWS: Mcintosh was excellent in the intra-club practice match on Tuesday. The coach had plenty to say about the big man and how Todd Goldstein and himself can co-exist. But if Mcintosh can't push forward and kick goals (which we are unsure he can on a regular basis), then his spot will be questionable all year. The times of a resting Ruck on the bench are no more.
| ||||
NEWS: McIntosh may surprise us this season, but we just can't see a home for him in 2012. He seems too lanky to perform as a resting Ruck in the forward lines and he certainly wouldn't compete with Goldstein for the top job. Goldstein is the best tap ruckman in the AFL. | This is a 2012 outlook article.
| ||||
NEWS: Playing forward on Post... 15 possessions and 2 tackles... also 10 hit outs | McIntosh added 5 marks and managed 1.0.
| ||||
NEWS: He has finally been recalled for North Melbourne for Round 24 match against Richmond. North Melbourne cannot make the finals anymore. This may potentially be an audition for offseason trades.
| ||||
NEWS: Mcintosh is completely over his achilles injury and making a big impact in the 2s. But can North Melbourne find a spot for the big Ruck option.
| ||||
NEWS: What will McIntosh role be when he makes his return to senior football this season? Goldstein has taken over the Number 1 Ruck duties. Perhaps room for both with one resting up forward.
