Hot Green may be a GWS targetESN - Fri 10/8, 4:47PM
NEWS: Green's retirement may only last a few months with GWS thinking he could serve a purpose with them.Giants' list manager Stephen Silvagni told The Age "Certainly there is a chance [of recruiting Green]. We probably need to do a bit more homework on it all but his form has been pretty good the last half of the year and there might even be another club out there that thinks he might have another season in him if he still wants to play. We've had no discussions with him and I don't know if he wants to keep going, but that's where we sit. If we decided to go down that track again, which we may have to depending on trades and uncontracted [players], if they don't fall our way, we may need to top up with some older players.

Hot Green announces retirementESN - Wed 8/8, 5:05PM
NEWS: Green today announced his retirement from the game at year end. His final game will be played in Round 23 against Adelaide at the MCG. He told media "I know where this group needs to go and for them to move forward I need to step aside and let this emerging talent grow. I never wanted to overstay my welcome and take a young guy's spot. I wish nothing more than to see these boys succeed, but it takes hard work and a buy-in from everyone."

Hot Green has 5 goal haulESN - Tue 7/8, 5:38PM
NEWS: Since returning from injury in Round 16, Green has been playing terrific form kicking 13 goals in his past 4 matches. But his career at year end is still up in the air. Coach Mark Neeld said "Brad and I sit down each week and talk about what it looks like into the future. We've still got four games to play out this year, and we'll just keep dealing with it week by week at the moment. He certainly played really well and five goals is a good reward, but we'll continue to have those chats."

Injured Green returns to trainingESN - Thu 31/5, 8:45AM
NEWS: Melbourne's elite performance manager David Misson told melbournefc.com.au on Tuesday "We sent him off to hospital because he was coughing up some blood. All the tests were pretty clear. It's a complicated diagnosis. But essentially he just got a really strong knock to the sternum. We're thinking it's just a burst blood vessel in the oesophagus. He's had a run today and he's felt pretty good but we're going to be pretty cautious."
