NEWS: Cooney will play almost a full much in the final round of the NAB Cup. Over the pre-season competition, the Western Bulldogs have gradually increased his workload. They are confident he will be able to play Round 1. | ||||

NEWS: As discussed previously, Cooney's playing time will be managed for the remainder of his career. He unfortunately has issues with his knees and will be in and out of games and trainings, so you will need to get used to reading updates similar to this. He is expected to play across half forward with brief stints on the ball in 2012. | ||||

NEWS: He was subbed off in the 3rd quarter, and was not huge on a fantasy perspective, however, he did look sharp, dangerous and skilful. He played across half forward as expected, but did get quite a bit of midfield time as well. | ||||
