Why not choose Judd as your VC...  :P

Seriously, there aren't enough players worth gambling on; the only one would be Gibbs!

is this about piking a V from richmond carlton and then if that player sores high then dont pick a captain on friday ??  guess its a decent theory, but is anyone not going to take ablett as captain against the bombers??

Is anyone game enough to try the partial lock out system with Martin, or any other Richmond/Carlton player as an EMG?

Has a good game in Rd 1, then play a rookie with a donut on the field?

If he has a poor game, then find an alt rookie with hopefully a better score, etc...

Worth some thought??

worth a shot; risk is getting tempted by a rich/carl score that ends up mediocre vs your normal captain choice

e.g. if you have ablett, roo, goddard, nds etc etc & go with (e.g.) dustin martin scoring 125 ... only to see your normal stud captain bust out 150+!!

Yeah, I thought about this, but really it is best if every player in round 1 is named. Some exceptions like Judd, Franklin, etc...

Yeah, I would generally agree that all players should be named in Rd 1, except Judd, etc...

Players like Anthony, Broughton last year would be ideal if you had enough cover on your bench.

It is risky though!!

Not going to bother...can't see it being worth it....Happy to take the risk if you can call it that on Ablett/Riewoldt...if you can call it a risk

not picking a captain is a good 1 if a rich/carl player you have as v stars, but im not picking donuts intentionally, then again im focused on leagues so rd 1 score isnt so important, was nice to be placed at 1085 after rd 1 last year but really this type of thinking is only if you dream of being at #1 at end.
