But my point is that if we also make the blogging as strong as the forum can potentially be then the site will be fantastic all-round.

Yep good point, but until that happens the Forum will keep becoming bigger and therefore more times needs to be spent on it to make it even better.

not trying to go a bit far but, this site is a hit, but with some of my mates they say, "FanFooty is Only Good For Live Scores", now i completely disagree, but i think we need a bit of covering up the wholes to do, maybe get some people to blog.
What i was thinking of was, with the money you earn could there be a possibility of maybe a player or coach posting maybe once a month to get the other kind of things, (just a suggestion and is a bit far to reach).

m0nty im sure there are some people on this forum who really want to do some blogging so just why dont you let them?

Im also with the membership thing aswell, maybe like a silver member ship and a gold membership?

I can see where your mates are coming from TBH, there's no real draw for people to log onto the site midweek besides the forum, and really there's only so much discussion that can go on about DT and SC before teams are posted.

IMO the blogging is a perfect way to rectify that situation, but it's your call, just my two cents worth.

I don't see the forum as being the future of the site, to be honest. It's nice to have, but I don't want it to take over.

I don't disagree with any of the calls to increase blogging output. It's something I have been lax on and need to fix up next year, however I do it. Expanding into general footy opinion sounds like a good start.

BradStar, I don't think I could get a player or coach to write for FF, not a current one anyway, due to the AFL not liking me all that much. Good idea though.

There may be a few ex-players or ex-coaches that the AFL don't like that much too!

Just a thought.

True, but I was talking about current players and coaches.

Understood, and maybe casting the net a little wider will catch the fish we'd all love to have swimming in our little pond?

To be brutal, Prospector, I don't think FF needs to have players or coaches blogging, either present or past. It's okay for the likes of The Roar, but I'd rather go in a different direction. In any case, real players and coaches usually make the crappiest fantasy coaches.  8)

Fair enough, it's your site and of course you call the shots.

Nah, that's fair enough m0nty. I wonder about guest spots then? Maybe a few written pointers on tactics / strategy from those multicoloured guests who show up from time to time on the live chat?

I'm just watching the footy show m0nty.

I think you could break more world records that Shane Crawford has.

You could post your efforts on youtube, and we could all vote on your performances.

Are you up for it old son?
