Jeff Kennett - beyond blue

Jeff Kennett created Beyond Blue as an not-for-profit advocacy organisation that has a mandate, according to Jeff, to make suffering depression as freely talked about as having the flu. He thinks that after 10 years they are half way there.

Despite wat people say and the things he says he is a very good man

He is a passionate guy. Few people (or really no one) knows everything in a non biased way, but Jeff is quite happy to speak him mind which shows this off more than most.

That being said, he is a very successful leader of people and organisations and it is great that he applies his passion to Hawthorn, but far more important that he applies his passion to Beyond Blue. I know people who work in mental health and a few people that have had mental health issues and the work Beyond Blue helps our society in so many ways.

Can't argue with any of that. He certainly has a few eccentric ways of doing and saying things (ie kool mints) but his heart is very much in the same place.
