One that would have the fruit must climb the tree

« on: September 19, 2010, 12:27:35 PM »

Should be 2011's biggest improver. All Australian representation (Frawley and Jamar) and some very good recruiting will see them climb the ladder surely.
Scully, Trengove, Gysberts, Mackenzie = potential, potential, potential, potential or will the demons of their lack lustre past come back to haunt them?
Does Dean Bailey have the skills to make these boys into men?

Should be pushing for the 8. Don't think top 4 will come soon with the Likes of Geelong, Saints and Pies in the top 3 teams.

Have the talent, but do we expect them to mature so soon? Maybe give them another year or two with a little less pressure.

Next super power? Michael Voss believes the Demons are beginning to resemble the Lions before their golden premiership run.

They sure look it. But so soon? Maybe give them another year to gel before expecting a massive year.

Should be pushing for top 8 next season I agree.

This is kinda hard to explain but:

I think Melbourne won't break into the 8 themselves, I think it will be up to the amount of spots left if you know what I mean...

Yeah I know what you mean Q, it will be the games that they win and the others that will lose that see them come out in front.  :P

Melbourne  ATM to win the flag $26.00
                                    to make the GF $11.00
                                    top four $5.00
highest placed Vic (inc finals) $21.00

Money will be on them shaping the top four but making the top four, meh! keep your coin  ;)

Yes. Jurrah the next Franklin? Watts, Bate, Green, Petterd... a lot to like.

For Bailey to keep his job, think the Dees need to win 11 matches.

Developing a pretty strong, young forwardline.
