Essendon were one of only 3 teams that beat us last season. I sat through that game and I was impressed with Essendon's pressure and commitment.
The problem is, you have to be up for every game. Not just one that is special for some reason.
Essendon also got mauled by other top teams.
Your challenge is to find the team that played us that night, and play them every week. Then we can talk top 4.

Agreed. Think next year it's possible but I think 2013 is more realistic.

mmm maybe, but it'll be a pretty small window for essendon, by 2013/14 teams like GC and GWS will be firing, making it difficult for essendon to win squat. :P

I agree. Gold Coast will be good in 2014, but not GWS.
Top 4 2013 or we failed that season I reckon, next season top 6 should be our aim.

You never know what will happen do you. You just hope for the best, and enjoy the ride if it happens. How many West Coast supporters would have picked a PF last season? Richmond and North Melbourne will be hoping for a top 8 position to.

A better question would be:

Where would you LIKE Essendon to finish in 2013?
(The only correct) Answer: Wooden spoon!! :p :)

I was right about Stants, eh.

If we can actually gather some consistency (eg play like we did vs Geelong every week, and play at the same rate for all 4 quarters see those games vs Adelaide and Port where we played showere for 3 quarters then staged a comeback to win) and not to lose shower teams like Melbourne, Richmond etc. we'll be top 6 for sure,

I however don't think we can do that and will come 8th to 10th. Unless Kavagnah turns out to be another Dyson Heppell.

I hear that he may win the Rising Star if fit. Hoping this comes true.

Yeah he was tipped to go top 5 but injuries plagued his 2011 campaign. Hopefully he'll be good and we'll roll a Geelong-style all gun midfield in a few years consisting of Watson, Stanton, Howlett, Heppell, Kavagnah and Hocking that would be sweet, looks great...on paper.

Sure does Jukes!

Rate Howlett and Hocking highly. Good team players.
