I understand that Premium Dream Team is going to change a lot for next season... for those of you who were in the 3000 participants in '08, what would you like to see?
Personally, I'm a big fan of the US-style private leagues and would like to see a lot more features from those sites, like flex positions, benches, live league scoring instead of just live steam scoring, and possibly waiver wires.

It's definitely got potential, I love the NBA's Ultimate Fantasy Commish.
Any chance of it being free this year m0nty? I wanted to go in last year but pretty much no one else in any of my leagues would pay for the book to get in.

There's some chance of that, but in that case it wouldn't have prizes.
Would you rather have a prize-focused competition where the sole focus is to strive to win cash, or just a free private league system where you can compete with mates?

Personally, probably a free one, I'll be focusing on regular DT anyway.

Bit of an update from my source: looks like those who want PDT to be more in the US style are going to get their wish. Sounds exciting!

Premium Dream Team is a private league system where in each league, 10 coaches participate in a draft where each player can only go to one team. Then they run a league of home & away head-to-head games and finals just like in normal DT leagues.
It cost $12 last year, not sure how much this year but probably about the same.

Hi,
For those interested in a free alternative to Premium Dreamteam or like the US style of fantasy sports then you might like to have a look at Ultimate Footy.
http://www.ultimatefooty.com
It's got live drafts and fully customisable settings, so you can quite easily make a league that replicate the Premium Dreamteam system, all for free.
Btw M0nty great forums, good to finally see a forum that covers off on all that is fantasy football not just the mainstream salary cap comps.

Got to say, Ultimate Footy has plenty of potential. A few minor things to fix, the roto scoring, which I've been told will be sorted in the next few days, putting players on the chopping block (for other people to trade for), and few other minor cosmetic things
The fact you can completely customise the leagues is great. and best of all it's free!

FYI $9.95 this year. The question i have that i cant seem to find the answer for on the site, do the 22 have to be in certain positions like normal dreamteam? Ie 7 backs, 6 mids, 2 rucks and 7 forwards? What about emergencies? This will be my first time on PDT so im a little unsure.

you get to choose a team, i dont think reserves play a role, should be an unreal competition ...... i am used to playing the NFL and NBA versions and they are unbelievably popular in america.
i just like the idea of picking someone whom cannot be picked by anyone else, a true game of skill
