Atkins’ pickup and agility its first-rate, finding Miers on the lead just inside the field of play. Gryan lines up from the tight angle, 40 out and nails it. Cats are on the board! (Q1 15:47)
A streaming Parfitt handballs over the top to Narkle who, at full speed, can’t align his snap from 30. (Q1 17:45)
Dumont gets the one-two with Ziebell before releasing to Higgins who has time to steady but misses to the left from just inside the arc. (Q1 19:59)
Mason Wood gathers amidst congestion at the hot spot, finding a moment to blindly snap on his left boot but it’s to the near side. (Q1 22:38)
Polec’s defensive kick is a terrible one but Dahlhaus can’t make him pay, missing the hasty 35m snap to the right. (Q2 0:56)
Stewart is penalised for a hold on Goldstein in the marking contest and Goldy makes no mistake from 25. (Q2 4:16)
Ahern sends a long kick from the wing into the 50 which is gobbled up by Brown on the fourth bite. From 53 it’s on target but drops short, punched over the line. (Q2 7:59)
Garner spins on a dime before popping a pass to the leading Ziebell who pokes at it from 35 and misses to the left. (Q2 8:30)
Narkle kicks long to the advantage or Parfitt who does well to beat Pittard in the contest. His shot, however, lacks finesse, missing to the right from 30. (Q2 12:02)
Narkle links up with Hawkins lace-out in the pocket who goes back and hits the post with the tight-angle drop punt. (Q2 15:14)
Gaz and Kelly combine on the flank before Miers marks and goals from 45, taking the Cats out to a 7-point lead. (Q2 17:29)
Ratugolea marks the Ablett hack kick just inside the 50 and launches it through the goals, however, a review indicates it was touched on the line. (Q2 20:29)
A long, weighted kick by Narkle is marked by Hawkins running back with the flight and he makes no mistake from the hot spot. (Q2 22:04)
Taylor catches Wood high with an errant spoiling attempt. Mason plays on and launches from downtown but it’s OOTF. (Q3 2:19)
Dangerfield bursts away from congestion and spears a pass to Duncan inside 50. He passes to Menegola, who does the same to Hawkins, who sprays it wide from 35. (Q3 4:19)
Thompson’s defensive kick is partially smothered, ricocheting to Menegola who finds Dahlhaus inboard at the 40. Luke goes back and nails it. (Q3 5:50)
Larkey marks tight on the boundary line and eventually elects to shoot after no options appear. His kick is low, hard, and touched over the line. (Q3 6:49)
Miers’ forward pressure causes a turnover that goes through Parfitt before ending in Miers’ hands again. He tries from the impossible angle on his left boot but it’s never online. (Q3 11:18)
Dangerfield cuts off a poor Polec kick before spotting Hawkins on the lead. Tomahawk sets sail from 30 and extends the Cats’ lead, albeit only by a minor score. (Q3 15:42)
Ziebell turns it over in an almost identical position, but this time the Cats make them pay thanks to an accurate Narkle right-foot snap from 35. (Q3 16:35)
Kelly feeds Selwood who gets a kick away from congestion on the flank, falling to the advantage of Narkle. From 40m on a slight angle, he misses. (Q3 22:01)
Wood soccers off the ground from the tightest of angles but the task was always going to be too tough, through for a minor score. (Q3 25:47)
Zurhaar and Bews race toward the Roos’ goal. Zurhaar is able to get boot to ball just before the line but heavy pressure forces it wide, just before he cannons into the post. (Q3 27:20)
Higgins drops the mark in his own defensive 50 which allows for the turnover. Miers makes the most of the opportunity, snapping it through from 40 for his third of the evening. (Q3 28:12)
Dangerfield catches Higgins high at the other end which will give Shaun a chance to makes amends. After the 3QT siren, his shot drops short. No score. (3 Qtr Time)
Guthrie steers it wide to a leading Hawkins who was given far too much space. Tom shoots from 45 on a moderate angle and misses to the near side. (Q4 2:10)
Dangerfield ices what’s been a stellar individual performance with a long bomb from 52 that sails over the goal umpire’s hat. (Q4 15:26)
Atkins pokes a 15m pass into the line of Hawkins who marks at 45, shoots from 50 and nails it. (Q4 18:54)
19 points is North Melbourne’s lowest EVER total score. If they don’t kick a goal in the last 5 minutes, a new record will be set. (Q4 19:57)
Ratugolea gets a quick snap away from the 20m stoppage but it’s overcooked, through for a minor score. (Q4 22:06)
Narkle’s front and centre work is as good as it gets, collecting and snapping truly from 40. (Q4 23:09)
Wood marks over Ablett smack on the 50 and will go back and shoot for goal. He sprays it OOTF… (Q4 25:10)
