2064 points and a ranking of 1577th is a pretty fair start. Certainly much better than my 1980 and 7584th! Now, to be fair to me, I did help her with some of the mid-prices (Hasleby, Skipworth, Higgins and I think Hentschel) and all of the rookies. So if she wins the two cars, I will claim one of them as my birthright. I’m just ticked off that I didn’t saddle her with Andrew Raines, leaving her with a trade up her sleeve on all the rest of us poor schmoes!
Does that list up there scare the bejeezus out of you like it does me? I live in mortal fear of the ribbing I’ll cop if she manages to beat me for the year. All true DT/SC addicts have a 2nd team under a woman’s name to take gambles on players they were too afraid to pick in their own teams that look like 2nd team going round. I bet most of these 2nd teams do better too. Nothing like a bit of differentiation. Perfect example in your team is Cameron Cloke. Not unlike Nathan Jones in mine. Those fringe guys that COULD do well and nobody will pick, but you just have that hunch, although too scared to bank on them in your “real” team…
My Dad has a team… its doing very well. My ‘wag’ has one.. Which she picked all of the guys she thought she should have (plus my must haves) and as a geelong supporter, she made some great choices.
This does shit me a bit. I’ve helped heaps of people with their teams at work.. And there are at least 10 people ranked higher than me (inside top 1000). Grrrr.. Maybe I’ve over though my team?!

I helped my brother with his SC team (mainly with the rookies and mids coz he had no idea) and he beat me with a score of 2300 something!!! But all of his premiums dominated, whereas all mine crumbled except for gablett.

My wife cheated. She said she was going to only pick the best looking blokes in her team (Vince, Franklin, Cousins etc) but then threw in Ablett.
I tried to argue with her that if she had a plan then she should stick to it but to no avail.
Luckily I pipped her this week otherwise I may have had to protest.

yeah i helped my girl make a team, not too much, just advised her on premium-mid-rookie structure and a couple of rookie tips.
she topped 2000 and beat everyone in our league except for me, so now i cop it from the guys at work ’cause they think i built her team. but i didn’t tell her to pack the team with her faves - and i would not have gone with a forward line of rioli-froggy davey-betts-fevola. she may end up beating me. all i can hope is that she gets sick of our mates talking about SC all the time so gies up on maintaining her team.
