I am not is as bad of a situation as some, I have Pfeiffer on the ground in the backs and Nathan Brown as a reserve. I’ll save Thompson for a couple of more weeks and swap him for the next likely looking back to emerge. I have little faith that Scotty DT will play many games this year though.

On an episode of Footy Confidential before the season (or maybe week 1) each person was asked for a most improved/ talking point player for the season. Archer said L Hansen. That is the only reason i am keeping the faith with him. Surely Archer would know if he was going to get a run eventually and must have some basis for his expectations. Its tenuous at best i know but defender rookies are hard to come by so I am clutching at straws.

What are peoples opinions on the Matt Priddis injury, the official West Coast website said that he COULD miss at LEAST 3 weeks. What the hell is that supposed to mean? - Will he miss at LEAST 3, or COULD he back before then.
I have the option to trade him for Rhys Palmer which will open up enough money for me to pick up Heath Shaw for Mark Nicoski in my backline. OR should i hold onto Priddis and trust young Tuck to perform until he gets back.
Oh and Damm Dean Laidley etc etc.

Nicoski had it coming. He’s on my bench this week only because Embley isn’t playing. Harry Taylor and Scott Selwood getting a gig before him. Come to think of it, maybe even Zac Dawson would get on the pitch before him!

i have Nico also, and i had contemplated trading him for Harry Taylor, and Scott D Thompson for Selwood. I know Embley didnt travel, but Nico wasnt listed, to my knowledge, as first emergency-will we know he’s playing at 5pm today? Or is this a case of keeping the Faith until game time?

Gor, I traded in Thornton last week too. Added to his woeful 20odd was J Brown’s inspiring 34, meaning my team did wonderfully…

The blues have named Setanta on the bench this week. If he plays down back, it will hopefully free up Thornton to rack up some cheapies.

Given all of the ommissions this week (including Proud, Priddis, Embley, Lloyd, West, Bowden, Cox (both maybes) etc, there could be a lot of teams playinf quite a few short this week.

is joel bowden confirmed as not playin. How much fatih should i have in the footy show? with the site failure at the beginning of the year, the number of injuries and the lack of rookie defenders my trades are gonna be out the window by half way through the year.

Sam, yeah Bowden was named, and i honestly don’t know why they are talking about dropping him (people say he still won’t play this week). i mean, it’s not like Richmond have any one decent to replace him with??

and Burty, i hope you’re right about Thornton, he’ll be on my chopping block if he doesnt get over 60. and with J.Brown, i had him too but saw he was playing Sydney and traded him out for Josh Hill!! i plan on getting Brown back once price drops some more.

Can i get some advice here too while am ranting? My rucks are (shizen) Symmonds, JOLLY, Kreuzer, and Lueunberger (spelling?). Jolly has been terrible and now costs $278,100 with his price dropping. should i just make some money off him (West from Geelong looks like likely candidate) and throw Kreuzer into the line up? I just don’t see Jolly being worth the 300k i paid for him anymore and i need to make something of him before it’s too late…

Since you already have Jolly, if you sold him you’d be making a loss, with the depth you have on your ruck bench, I’d consider waiting until Peter Everitt returns. His inclusion in the team could leave Jolly open to drift forward occasionally.

I’d hold out for now. Save your trade.

I’ve got proud and Nico with no back emergencies. I’m thinking of trading out nicoski and Jake edwards for Bradshaw and Kenelly (yeh i have the money) what does everyone think? Would I be better off keeping nico and getting kenelly and harry taylor for both my rookies or something?

Gor- I’d probably stay away from West, no doubt he is doing awesome for his price, but Ottens is coming back in 1-2weeks (although he’s been 1-2 weeks since rnd 1) and West will surely be dropped.

im going to keep nico as an emergency bring grundy in to my 22. nico is only 50/50 chance to play.i have j.bowden anyone know if he is playing ? and j.brown is it worth just trading him for this week and buy him back for less later on ?

Nico is my only problem too… keep him for 1 more week i think, then use him as a cash cow as there will be a few blokes over the next 2 rounds who will be hitting ther thiird games etc

don’t do the double trade with J brown Steve. players like that you jsut have to keep, unfortunately everyone else will jump on him when he’s cheap but you can do the same with reiwoldt, B johnson and S johnson later on, no point burning two trades. I have nico and proud? still no views on whether i should go for kenelly and bradshamw for nico and J edwards or keep nico and trade my two back emergencies for kenelly and H taylor?

nah don’t wait a week sliders ebcause you have 2 zeros on your bench which needs to be ratified anyway. I’d go with none of those personally, I reckon you should looka t gilbee or milburn instead. Otherwise kenelly isn’t a bad option.

Settle down Monty you old gasbag. You should’ve had the foresight not to pick ordinary players like Hansen in the first place. I went to his debut game against the Pies last year, and he honestly had no concept of how to make position and find the footy. Spend more time watching the game and less time crunching the numbers and maybe next year you won’t have the same headaches.

Hille is a decent choice for a ruckman.

They love Kenelly in Sydney, if he’s fit, he’s playing. At his price, for the sort of game he is capable of, everybody should have him.

Don’t all be so fast to jump off the Nicoski bandwagon. He looked to be the sort of player who, when his side is up, will fight for the ball but since the Eagles have been coping it a bit lately, he seems uninterested in the game. If you have him in the midfield, swap him for Palmer, if he’s in your defense, just bear with him. The Eagles are dropping like flies, he’s suddenly an experienced body and between him and a fresh rookie, he’ll get the nod.
If the Eagles aren’t looking top 8 by round 11, get away from him, Worsfold could change to a rebuilding attitude, the young guys will get a run.

i am always worried about picking up any sydney player thats why i hesitate to get kenelly… i haven really watch the swans play this year… wat type of game does he play is it cheap posis at the back? and does he run with it from the back?

Anyways i suggest u play dyson and bench palmer coz of the fact that the dogs are unlikely to tag, having said that richmond have already started tanking but i would play dyson, hes more likely to do well than palmer is likely to have 3 blinders in a row in his first yr, also harves may decide to play less of him coz they are playing the tiges and palmer has had 30 stitches or so in his head.

Btw coz of no back emergencies and proud out, i had to trade proud, but couldnt get cornes so i got osborne, whilst still doin the pettifer trade, so ill have to get cornes next wk, unless gram guns it.

I’ve got a big rap for Mattner as a player, but I don’t think he will average any more than 80 (at absoloute best) for the year-will definitely make you some cash- but is border-line whether he will be a permanent in your 22

Both are pinch hitters for massive scores, but i think Mattner will provide more consistency- as in his low scores wont be as low as grams. That said, mattners high scores wont be as high. Id take mattner for consistency.

i was just wondering with goddard back will that allow gram to run free and get more of the ball or cost him possessions?

Mattner is an SC player, not a DT player. That was my judgement before the season started, and it has been borne out by his averages: 70 in DT and 103 in SC.

I’mt rading edwards for kenelly most likely because i doubt edwards will paly again whereas proud and L Hansen should play eventually. either way i really need to get soem depth into my backs. I really dont know who to start though, palmer is hard to ignore with those scores and against a team that apply no pressure?

Yea im not sure about a captain, i was thinking about Goodes, but im pretty sure he’l get tagged heavily, but he seems to rise up against WC.

A few folks have been talking about which young back to trade in… what about the rookie Wonaeamirri- only played 1 game so you have a week to get him, but picked up 60 in his first game and named again this week.

tuck should be on the field if you have him as one of your rooks. Aurora is one of the top two stadiums for racking up DT points

rod i left tuck in and it killed me, anyone know what’s happened to him, i heard it was a knee injury.

i cant believe anyone would trade out j.brown unless he was injured. i mean its hard when u know his price is gonna fall but whoever up there said it dusnt matter what his price is, was spot on, he’s a gun and didnt he bounce back on the weekend!!!
