Good news to come from the Saints’ camp. Nick Riewoldt’s rumoured injury scans have amounted to little, as can be seen in this article from today’s Herald Sun:
Nick Riewoldt is believed to have suffered a hamstring scare late in the loss to Hawthorn on Saturday night, but he has been declared fit after precautionary scans.
Lenny Hayes is also a chance to play after suffering a broken collarbone, but the bad news is that Jason Gram won’t play, due to a back complaint. This could set Lethal Leigh Fisher up for another 140+ score - but I’m not betting on it.
The real story, Dream Team-wise, is that Fergus Watts is in the squad that’s flown to Perth. This kid has always been a talent, and has really struggled with injuries for the last two seasons. But I know for a fact he was in the squad of last year’s Dream Team winner in the AFL comp - he is very highly rated. Keep your eye out.
Editor’s note: Tom, don’t forget Xavier Clarke, whose Windy Hill flu has magically transformed into a calf strain that will put him out for two to four weeks, and Clinton Jones who won’t recover from his collarbone injury for another month. Personally I am going to try never to draft a Saint ever again.

Do we have any idea when Gram might be back? His mystery virus became a hammy, then a back complaint, then a back-related hammy, depending which report you read! The AFL should impose correct reporting on injuries, its not fair to dream teamers!
Put it this way, it’s being reported as a one-week injury.
Trust that at your own risk.
yeah, well, sadly not a lot I can do as he’s already on my team, so i will bench him and hope…
Can we believe anything the Ross Liar says?

hey tommy in a dilemma. franklin thanks to his goals so far is not far away in price from the elite dt forwards, but will plummet in price this week methinks after this week ( and he’s playing the coasters). cunning or ignorant?
Franklin did kick 1 goal 5, so it’s not like he didn’t get much of the ball last week, he just didn’t capitalise. There’s no doubt he’s going to drop in price next round (unless he has another freak game).
What are people’s thoughts on Riewoldt? Like many of you I don’t trust the Saints injury reports. Do you think he’ll play well this season? Have plenty of 80-100 games? Do you think he’s carrying bad injuries?
Hey tom,
Molly
Any chance of sliding a reference for the Coaches Box in your Dreamteam review on the Coca-cola site?

Riewoldt is fine - his first 3 games, he had limited time on field (especially in round 3 when he copped a kick to the head and played very little)… his two full matches this year have been his 2 most recent - and best!!
And i wouldnt be too worried bout his injuries - he had his hammy problem in pre-season (hence missing the first few rounds), so has been conditioned well since. Id trust him for sure!
Plus, he’s playing much more in the midfield than normal!! he’s a gun!
Cheers Toby! I guess even if he does do a hammy it’ll only be a few games missed.
